Alonso sets an example for Leverkusen players ahead of the Europa League final

Coach Xabi Alonso showcased his superior skills during the training session before the Europa League final between Leverkusen and Atalanta.

Bayer Leverkusen is heading into their first European final in 22 years as they prepare to face Atalanta in the season's last Europa League match. The German team is seen as the favorite, given their stellar performance this season with a Bundesliga title and an undefeated record across all competitions.

Entering the final match in Dublin, Xabi Alonso's squad appears confident and relaxed, ready to defeat their opponents and secure their second title of the season. For Alonso, the Spanish coach has demonstrated his confidence by actively participating in training sessions with his players, showcasing his class with every touch of the ball.

Specifically, in a long-range shooting drill from outside the penalty area, Alonso replicated his trademark strike from his peak playing days. All of it was vividly demonstrated by the former Liverpool player with his run-up, stance, and delicately timed strike. The ball curled and swerved beyond the goalkeeper's reach, and only the "excellence" of the goal frame prevented the ball from finding the net.

One person said, "It reminds me of his halfway line goal when he played for Liverpool."

The second person remarked, "Put Florian on the bench and Alonso will slot into that position."

The third person shared, "That's so simple I could do it with my eyes closed."

The fourth person humorously suggested, "Let him take the penalty kicks if there are any."

In addition, Xabi Alonso and his players received great support from fans who traveled from Germany to Ireland to cheer on the team. A group of supporters made their way to Dublin and collectively chanted Xabi Alonso's name in a bar to show their love for the Spanish coach as well as the team from the Bay Arena.
