The England national team has to bear the worry as Kieran Trippier's injury forced him to leave the field during the strange friendly match between Newcastle and Tottenham.
On May 21st, manager Gareth Southgate announced a provisional squad of 33 players for Euro 2024 and prepared for upcoming friendly matches against Iceland and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as these are the final warm-up games for the Three Lions ahead of the summer tournament in Germany.
Of note, Southgate omitted "favorites" such as Marcus Rashford, Jordan Henderson, Jadon Sancho, and Raheem Sterling from the list.

At first glance at the England national team's squad list, we can see that manager Southgate has top-class attacking players at his disposal but lacks depth in defensive positions, especially at left-back.
Luke Shaw has been included in the provisional squad despite currently sidelined due to injury and being the only specialized left-back in the team, while Ben Chilwell has been omitted by Southgate.
Trippier is named in the list, partly because he can play at left-back as well as being able to switch to the right flank.
However, Southgate now faces the risk of having no left-back available - after witnessing Trippier sustain an injury during Newcastle's friendly match in Australia.
Accordingly, Trippier was seen using an ice pack to treat the pain on the substitutes' bench after being substituted off in the first half of the friendly match against Tottenham.
Newcastle Chronicle journalist Lee Ryder tweeted: "Trippier comes off and is replaced by Jacob Murphy. Looks like it's pre-planned but Trippier is now icing his ankle and sitting on the bench."

The decision to organize a friendly match in Australia did not sit well with English fans, especially when it took place just a few days after the conclusion of the Premier League season.
Furthermore, Coach Southgate might not be pleased with the arrangement of the match, as another English player, James Maddison, also participated.
The 53-year-old strategist will hope that Trippier's injury is not serious and that he can participate in England's upcoming warm-up matches for the Euro.
England will face Iceland in a friendly on June 3 before meeting Bosnia & Herzegovina on June 7.
