Thomas Tuchel has provided an update on Harry Kane injury, while the Bayern Munich forward continues to struggle with his worsening condition.
The number one striker of the England national team, Harry Kane, is causing more concern among Three Lions fans than ever before, as the day of announcing the squad for Euro 2024 draws near.
Harry Kane was substituted in the closing minutes of the UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, a match in which the Spurs suffered a regrettable defeat as striker Joselu scored two goals shortly after Kane left the field.
Following the match, Thomas Tuchel responded to criticisms regarding Kane's substitution with information about the 30-year-old striker's back injury, the reason why the German tactician had to replace Kane at that time.
Recently, speaking in a press conference ahead of the Bundesliga match between Bayern Munich and Hoffenheim, Thomas Tuchel continued to dampen the spirits of English fans by providing an update on Kane's injury situation.

The statement reads: "Harry is being treated by his own doctor. He cannot travel. He reached his limit in the match against Real Madrid. He's completely 'locked' in the back, the condition is worsening, and it's making it difficult for him to move daily like a normal person.”
However, the specific severity of the injury that the England captain is facing has not been clearly disclosed, information that has Gareth Southgate, the coach, "breaking out in a cold sweat."
As per previous announcements, the England national team will announce a preliminary squad for the Euro 2024 campaign on June 21st (local time), and the likelihood of Harry Kane being called up to the team at this point is heavily in doubt.

Clearly, in a tournament where fan expectations are high, and with a golden generation at their disposal to aim for the continental championship after many years of anticipation, not having the services of the country's top striker would be a significant loss.
With Euro 2024 just around a month away from officially kicking off, there are still some optimistic signs regarding Kane. However, injuries are always unpredictable and nothing can be definitively stated.
