In his end-of-season speech, coach Erik ten Hag faced jeers from the crowd at Old Trafford despite Man Utd's 3-2 victory over Newcastle.
Man Utd secured a win against Newcastle in their final home game of the season. Coach Erik ten Hag gathered the players in the middle of Old Trafford to thank the fans. However, this gesture from the Dutch coach was not warmly received by the audience.
Contrary to the enthusiastic cheers and warm reception of last year's end-of-season speech, this time, the Dutch coach's speech faced turbulence from the outset.
Even gathering all the players in the middle of the pitch was not an easy task. The former Ajax Amsterdam coach struggled with Bruno Fernandes' microphone. At that moment, the midfielder was being interviewed by Sky Sports.

While answering a question about his future from a Sky Sports reporter, Portuguese international Bruno Fernandes was pulled out of the interview by coach Erik ten Hag. Fernandes had to pause his response midway to join the team in thanking the fans.
A few minutes later, Sky Sports switched to broadcasting Ten Hag's speech to the fans at Old Trafford. The Dutch coach faced jeers from the audience. The achievements and performances of Man Utd this season have been disappointing to the fans.
Coach Erik ten Hag shared: "On behalf of the players, the coaching staff, and myself, I want to thank all of you for your tremendous support throughout the season. As you know, this has not been an easy season, but one thing that hasn't changed is your support for the club."

Coach Erik ten Hag is determined to secure victory in the FA Cup final as the sole means for Manchester United to ensure a place in the Europa League. Prior to this, the "Red Devils" have a match against Brighton in the final round of the Premier League to compete for a spot in the Conference League.
He emphasized: "This season is not over yet. First, we go to Brighton to secure 3 points, then to Wembley. I promise you, the players will give everything, give everything to win the FA Cup and bring it back to Old Trafford, and we are sure you will be there to support us."
Coach Erik ten Hag showed his belief in the support of the Manchester United fans. However, amid the applause and cheers, there were also clear jeers.
Regardless of their final position in the standings, Manchester United will have the opportunity to participate in European matches if they win the FA Cup final against Manchester City on May 25th.
