Former Arsenal and Man City defender Gael Clichy believes that Mykhailo Mudryk of Chelsea has the potential to become the best winger in the Premier League next season.
Mykhailo Mudryk has had to struggle to find stability since Chelsea beat Arsenal in the race for the signature of the Ukrainian international in a £88.5 million deal from Shakhtar Donetsk 16 months ago.

The 23-year-old player has only scored 7 goals in 41 appearances this season, and some experts even question whether he is a failed signing at Stamford Bridge or not. But former Arsenal and Manchester City defender, Gael Clichy, insists that it would be a mistake to write off Mudryk after just one season. He said:
"Mykhailo Mudryk was once very close to joining Arsenal. With what he showed, he was considered a fantastic addition to the Gunners. However, he ended up at Chelsea, and some might think: Thank goodness we didn't sign him.
It's true that Mudryk hasn't fully proven himself at Chelsea, but he has tremendous potential. I think he will bounce back next season. Sometimes we need to be empathetic with Mudryk; he came into a very tough league. Sometimes, we forget this and only focus on what he's doing on the field.
I wouldn't be surprised if Mudryk comes back next season and becomes the best winger in the Premier League because he has all the qualities you'd want in a top-class winger."
