On May 19th, Manchester City entered the final match of the 2023/24 Premier League season against West Ham. Needing just one win, Pep Guardiola's squad aimed for their fourth consecutive title in the top English football league.
True to the importance of the match, Man City pressed their opponents from the start and quickly took the lead in the 3rd minute. Receiving the ball outside the penalty area, Foden skillfully maneuvered before unleashing a thunderous strike into the West Ham net, opening the scoring early.
Building on their momentum, the Sky Blues soon doubled their lead to 2-0. In the 18th minute, Doku caused havoc on the left flank before delivering a cross for Foden, who promptly slotted the ball home to extend the lead.

With a two-goal lead at home, Manchester City played somewhat complacently, allowing West Ham to unexpectedly pull one back. In the 43rd minute, amidst a scramble inside The Cityzens' penalty area, Kudus displayed class to slot the ball past Ortega.
The first half concluded with Pep Guardiola's side still holding a slender one-goal advantage, leaving Manchester City fans somewhat uneasy.
After the break, the Etihad Stadium outfit piled tremendous pressure on Alphonse Areola's goal.
As fate would have it, Manchester City re-established a comfortable cushion in the 53rd minute, as Bernardo Silva laid the ball off for Rodri to finish low beyond the goalkeeper for their third goal.
With such a commanding lead, Pep Guardiola's troops made no further mistakes for the remainder of the game, securing a final scoreline of 3-1 victory over West Ham.

This result officially crowns Manchester City as the Premier League champions for the 2023/24 season with 91 points, two points ahead of the second-placed team, Arsenal.
This also marks Manchester City's fourth consecutive Premier League title - a feat unprecedented in the history of the competition.
