Left-back Chelsea's Ben Chilwell is said to have regained fitness and is ready to join England's national team in the battle at Euro 2024.
According to Chelsea's head coach, Mauricio Pochettino, Ben Chilwell could be "in perfect condition" to feature for the England national team at the European Championship this summer despite enduring a season marred by injuries.
The 27-year-old player has only appeared in 13 matches in the Premier League during the 2023-24 season due to two separate injuries: a serious Achilles tendon issue in September that sidelined him for three months and a knee problem in March.

However, the recovery is progressing well, and Pochettino believes that Chilwell could become a practical left-back option for England manager Gareth Southgate.
"We need to evaluate, but perhaps by the end of the weekend (the match against Bournemouth), he could be available and could develop very quickly to become part of the national team. I think it's possible, he could be in perfect condition for Euro 2024" Pochettino said about Chilwell.

Earlier, Pochettino also mentioned the possibility of Chelsea captain Reece James joining the national team later. Pochettino added that he is always proud to provide players for the national team while working in the Premier League.
Pochettino said, "We are really proud to provide players for the national team because we are very grateful for how football in England has welcomed us. You make us feel welcome as a foreign nation, I think you all try to respect the identity, culture, and football essence as well as English football through players."
Chelsea will conclude the 2023/24 campaign with a match against Bournemouth at home. A victory would help Pochettino compete for a European Cup spot at the end of the season.
