PSG postponed their graduation exam in Paris to participate in Euro 2024 with the French national team.

Young player Warren Zaire-Emery had to request a postponement of his high school graduation exam to train with the French national team in preparation for Euro 2024, taking place this summer.

In the early hours of this morning (May 17th), Coach Didier Deschamps announced the preliminary list of 25/26 players who will gather with the French national team to prepare for Euro 2024 this summer. Looking at the summoned players, fans can imagine a super team that is forecasted to make waves at this tournament with some of the world's top superstars. Among them, Kylian Mbappe is undoubtedly the player that Les Bleus fans will pin their hopes on to bring home the European Championship for the first time since the 2000 edition.

In addition to the surprise inclusion of veteran midfielder N'Golo Kante, Didier Deschamps also demonstrates his adeptness with young talents, especially in the case of Warren Zaire-Emery. The PSG academy prospect is the youngest player called up to the national team at just 18 years old, showing Emmery's undeniable talent during his time playing for PSG.

However, there is something very interesting about Emery in this call-up. Specifically, the 18-year-old player is still in the process of preparing for his high school graduation exam in France. However, the PSG prospect will have to postpone this exam until September and prioritize the first Euro tournament in his career.

After learning that he would be part of the French national team to prepare for the biggest tournament in Europe, Emery couldn't hide his happiness when he shared, "This is one of the greatest tournaments to play for Les Bleus. I am very proud to represent my country, and I will do so with great pride."

Adding to the postponement of his graduation exam, the 18-year-old player further stated: "I requested an exception. To be able to participate in the Euros and at the same time focus on studying for the exam, I got permission to take the exam in September so I can feel more comfortable and concentrate on football. My goal is to become the European champion... and graduate!"

Warren Zaire-Emery made his debut for the French national team on November 19, 2023, and this rising star left his mark by contributing a goal in the crushing 14-0 victory against Gibraltar in the Euro qualifiers. With Emery's presence in the squad, Coach Didier Deschamps will have more diverse options in his playing style, thereby transforming France into a versatile and formidable team to beat.
