Goal further revealed that Rashford was subjected to abusive language by the fan. This action angered the Manchester United forward. He turned around to respond with a frustrated expression on his face.
"Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes urged Rashford to stay calm before things escalated further. Both pulled the 26-year-old player away from the unwanted situation," The Telegraph wrote.
Rashford is going through a difficult season. He has often violated discipline and his form has been extremely poor. It's understandable that Rashford has become a target for criticism from home fans.
Last month, Rashford expressed his frustration. He responded on his social media with a statement: "I appreciate your support for the team. But it is insulting and it has been going on for months. Enough is enough."
Rashford came off the bench as a substitute when MU beat Newcastle 3-2 in the rescheduled match of Premier League's 34th round on May 16th. The forward didn't leave much of an impact in the brief 10-minute appearance. With the season coming to a close, Rashford has only scored a meager 8 goals across all competitions.
