Coach Gareth Southgate will have a headache selecting players to field at Euro 2024 as the England national team boasts a plethora of top-quality stars.
The England national team is preparing to announce its preliminary squad for Euro 2024 on May 21. The Three Lions are not lacking talented players with hefty price tags hanging over their heads, as there have been numerous high-profile names and transfer deals in recent years. However, most of these players have not faltered under the weight of their hefty transfer fees.
English midfielder Declan Rice made the move from West Ham to Arsenal last summer for a staggering £105 million, helping the Gunners compete for the Premier League title on equal footing with Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Harry Kane left Tottenham to join Bayern Munich with a transfer fee of £100 million at the same time and broke many records in his first season.
When combined, the strongest lineup of England could be worth a total of £1 billion, which raises high expectations from the fans for the Three Lions this summer.
However, Coach Southgate clearly faces a daunting task in selecting the most deserving faces to take the field. After narrowly missing out on the championship in 2021 with a penalty shootout defeat to Italy at Wembley, the England national team coach is yet to settle on his core squad.
